The move is aimed at helping to drive more tourism to undiscovered parts of the country and is a response to the growing problem of overtourism affecting many of the most popular destinations in the world. Across the year we will likely see similar goals from many other tourism bureaus focused on encouraging travelers to create more diverse itineraries when they visit.
